Walk With Them: David’s Walk for Persecuted Christians
Hi, I’m David! I’m 15 years old and in July I will be walking 400km from Taree to Sydney to raise money for persecuted Christians…It’s going to be hard, but it’s nothing compared to what persecuted Christians go through.
David Low is doing something crazy to support Thirteen Three: in the July school holidays he is going to walk 400km from Taree to Sydney to raise money to support underground Bible school students in Vietnam and Burma.
Click here for more info about Thirteen Three’s 2011 project to sponsor Bible school students.
For David to reach his goal of raising $10,000, he needs your help!

Good job david!
I’m so pleased that hearing about persecuted believers is touching the life of someone as young as yourself. You have a bright future! Praying that you’ll be changed as much as the Christians you are raising money to support. Hope a lot of people can join you and that they’ll be inspired in their own lives.
All the best with your mission!
What an inspiration to Young Christians everywhere…
Good for you, David!
Dear David,
Such a wonderful way to support persecuted Christians. I pray that you will feel God’s strength as you walk. Good on you for doing this and I know that you will be blessed.
We are so encouraged hearing about your willingness to put legs (literally!) to your convictions, David. You will be in our prayers throughout this whole journey – and God has been challenging me personally to pray more specifically for the persecuted believers around the world. We have it so soft here in so many ways!
Blessings!
Go David! Does the heart good to see our youngins steppin’out for the Kingdom. What a blessing
Your awesome. God’s awesome, but the fact that you are letting him work through you is pretty cool too. Good on you for taking a stand by encouraging and supporting others in their own walk with Christ. I shall pray for you throughout your adventure, that you will have the strength not only to finish what you start, but to have the presence of mind to remember why your doing this and with who.
Wish you all the best David! Its so encouraging to see how you have decided to do something different to raise awareness of our brothers and sisters who are being persecuted for their faith. Praise God for your courage. May God bless you and keep you safe! Praying for you!
Thanks for inspiring our students at school.
Thanks for getting out of your comfort zone to remember our persecuted brothers and sisters. Our Mighty God will enable you in the challenge before you!
Go David! So good to see you stepping out in action to help persecuted Christians. God has blessed you with many talents – may you be encouraged as you put them in to practice each and every day. Will be thinking of you and praying for you. x

Hey David,
I want you to know that I will specifically praying for you this month and mentioning you as I speak to youth here in Canada for the Canadian brother version of 13:3. Your willingness to be obedient to the Lord and to go outside of your comfort zone is an amazing testimony to youth around the world.
May you stay strong and courageous as you follow the Lords’ direction.
Blessings from Canada
Your Brother in Christ

Dear David,
What an inspiration you have been to us all here at Voice of the Martyrs. Every step that you take will make a statement to the body of Christ here in Australia of what a young man can achieve with your goal of supporting future leaders in restricted nations. I know that they will be personally thankful for what you are doing to help them take their own steps in knowing God through the Bible Colleges that they attend.
This walk is an investment into their lives so that the Gospel may be heard in their respective countries. Thank you so much for your love toward them. May God continue to strengthen you for the task at hand. In Christ, John Wilson, Executive Director VOM

Hi David, well done to you in supporting such a worthy cause in a practical way. Ian Shaw shared your story with our church at WDBC, I hope you don’t mind but I have also shared your story on our website to help spread the word to others (http://www.wdbc.org.au/2011/06/18/walking-with-them-david%E2%80%99s-walk-for-persecuted-christians/). All the best for your walk!
Wow!!! Way to go David!!! I love how you’re so willing to challenge yourself for the sake of our persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ! I’ll be donating and most definitely praying for you! Like you said, you’ll need to rely on God’s strength long after yours has run out!! Stick close to God bro, especially when you’re walking! Check out this encouragment in Joshua 1:9. Best of luck with it, David! Let us all know how it goes

Hi David,
An awesome thing you are doing. Would you like some company as you pass through Raymond Terrace and Hexham ? If so when do you expect to be passing through?
Judah & Alexandra Rumbel
Hey David, I too am 15 and after just reading your article and am amazed and encouraged at your heart for God and the persecuted church! often I find we can acknowledge that others need support but never actually take any steps to provide it, whether it be out of laziness, pride or a lack of trust in God to be able to do a work in and through us.
Not only are you creating awareness and raising support- but encouraging others like you to use the passions and abilities Gods given them to serve Him now.
I pray safety and endurance for you over this time. And that you will be encouraged spiritualy as you seek to serve our Lord. May God receive all the glory.
God bless David.
Emma

Hi, I actually know some people who won’t even drive that far let alone walk. Hope you had an awesome time meeting everyone en route. Didn’t realise when you came through Bula or I’d have been out there waving! You have started on big things so it will be interesting to see what The Lord will enable you to achieve in the future. All the best with your studies the rest of the year.
