Youth Leaders SPEAK UP for Asia Bibi: Massive Response to Urgent Call to Prayer

Praise God that so many Australian youth have responded to Thirteen Three’s urgent call to prayer for Asia Bibi who has been sentenced to death in Pakistan. Thank you for partnering with Thirteen Three to mobilise youth to pray for Asia.

I felt a deep sense of injustice over how Asia has been treated, yet encouraged and rebuked by her perseverance in the face of being persecuted for following Jesus – the True and Living God.

I sometimes whinge and complain about relatively minor problems and so need to keep being bound with my Christian brothers and sisters around the world, praying that they’d continue to stand firm under intense, unjust suffering.

Honestly, when I first saw the link I didn’t want to click on it coz I thought if I’m ignorant I don’t have to do anything about it. (there’s the honest truth for you!) But immediately after I read the story I stopped and prayed and tried to get the word out via social media so that other’s would do the same. Prayer feels like such a weak thing to do….but it actually the most powerful thing…and it’s the only thing! Praise God that he is in control!

Thank you to everyone who has shared this story on facebook or twitter.

But the job is not done. We need to continue to SPEAK UP for Asia Bibi throughout this week – she only has a few days left to appeal her sentence, so our prayers are vital as Voice of the Martyrs contacts prepare and present her appeal.

Please share this link through facebook and twitter right now and use your freedom to SPEAK UP for Asia:
